Buy it but fit it before it breaks
It broke out of the box. I turned the main swivel (one and only time) and it broke at the pivot point. I brought it as a replacement to the one that came with Nuvi 350 that also broke at the same location.

Perfect replacement for my broken one
The ball-mount hinge broke away from the suction cup piece on my old one after 3 years of use. This replacement part snapped right back onto the Garmin charger mount and I'm back in business with no complaints!

saved the day

When the suction cup ripped from the Garmin, I took it to the Radio Shack Store.( I had purchased it from their website.)They offered no help whatsoever as to how I could get the problem fixed. I don't think the manager was even aware that these cups could be purchased. I just went to Amazon and found a comparable piece from the website and it came in three days. It was also very cheap. What I thought was going to be difficult turned out to be very easy.

Not the best design
The hinge on this holder has a flimsy, plastic loop which will snap after a couple of swings of the holder's arm.
So, if you do not change the position of the unit more than once (i.e. move it from window mount to dashboard mount), you should be fine.
I learned the hard way and had to have it replaced. Fortunately, it's not an expensive item and Ritz Camera sent it quickly.

We broke our little hinge on our old stand and this was the perfect replacement without buying a whole new stand. Thank you!
